Lucille is an old family name. I love it since you can use Lucy or Lou for short. Plus it’s not very common anymore. So cute!

We picked the name Lucille to honor my husband’s late grandmother Lucy. We knew we would call her Luci for her nickname. Lucille is a classic name and means light, she is exactly that. A light in our lives!

We choose this name as it was my husband’s great grandmothers middle name. We knew we wanted a family name and her middle name was coming from myside so we wanted a name from his side. We love the name because it is a classic name that is not very popular. We call her Luci for short

Lucille is my middle name, my mother’s middle name, and my grandmothers first name. For many years, I wanted to bring it back as a first name and we had the opportunity with our first child being a girl. It’s fun because all four of us actually look quite a bit of like and it ended up being a special tribute to name her after my grandma, who passed away while I was pregnant.

Lucille is my maternal grandmother’s name and both my and my mother’s middle name. I always thought it would be cool to bring it back as a first name. We didn’t find out ahead of time the gender of our baby, but my grandmother passed away at the age of 99 while I was pregnant so it was extra special that we got to honor my grandma by giving her name to our baby girl.

Lucille is classic and elegant, but she can also go by Lucy, which is cute and fun. I like that she can go by whichever she chooses to. Also – Luciile Ball is, like, awesome.
