  1. My husband and I love to watch TV together and one of our favorite shows is Leverage . He loved the name Hardison so we settled on Elliot Spencer.

  2. I’ve loved the name Elliot since I was a little girl, and I’ve never known enough Elliots for strong preexisting personalities to become closely associated with it in my mind. Plus it’s biblical definition was very appealing to me and my husband.

  3. I think its a classy name

  4. My older son suggested it after hearing someone say the name Elliot at a public swimming pool, and we all loved the sound of it. Then when we saw it means “the Lord is my God,” I liked it even more.

  5. We chose Elliot partly because we appreciate the missionary Jim Elliot. But when we were trying to decide on a name, we couldn’t and decided to read some names we liked out loud to our baby (while in the womb) and see which one he kicked on. So we did. And he kicked on Elliot. I love the old fashioned style of it and the way it sounds.
