I just loved the name. It meant garland of flowers and just embodied to me the feeling of nature, flowers, peace, love and joy. Everything my daughters soul is! My only complaint is because it is Hawaiian people complain about her name being combined with our German last name. But I still love our choice and her name is as beautiful as she is

My beautiful granddaughters name is Journey Leilani. Born on March 14th; the same day as my own daughter Jessicah Davianna Raquelle (meaning: A Beloved Observer).
The name Leilani is befitting for my granddaughter, who has the most prettiest and purest crystal green eyes I’ve ever seen. As far as I know she is the very first in my family to have green eyes. All of our eyes are brown.
She is truly indeed the epitomy of a heavenly flower and royal princess!
She is also number 12 (the number of pillar and strength or government) of my grandchildren.

One day we were brainstorming girl names and the name Leilani got brought up. This was before we even had children. My husband and I have always loved the name Leilani. We love the sound of it and it’s beautiful meaning. Leilani is from Hawaiian origin and it means “heavenly flower” and it also means “royal child”. We always agreed that if we ever had a little girl, we would name her Leilani. After having 2 boys we were so happy to have our princess and give her the beautiful name we’ve always wanted. It suits her perfectly.

My husband’s name and mine start with the L so we both decided to name our first born with a nice name that also started with an L. Leilani is a Hawaiian name which means heavenly child. Or biblically it means heavenly blossoms. Our baby girl is a gift that blossomed into our life and we are blessed!

Well her dad’s name starts with a “L” and mines with a “C” so I was looking for something that also started with a L or C.. I came across Leilani and thought it was a beautiful name and I also liked what it meant. It means “heavenly flowers ” & “royal child”. I felt it was a perfect fit for my baby. My oldest daughter name is Angelisha Ebony and it means “black angel”. My boys Jonathan and Jalen.

We lost our first daughter to an infection preterm at 19-20 weeks gestation. So our second pregnancy was a BIG DEAL, for good and bad reasons.
However, when we went for our 20 week ultrasound appointment, I thought to myself: “I’m pretty sure we’re having a boy” (I had multiple dreams of having a boy when I first became pregnant), but if we have a girl I want Jonathan (my husband) to name her.
While we waited in the waiting room to get our ultrasound, my husband asked me: “If we have a girl, can I name her?” I said, “Sure. Do you have any names in mind?” He said “Leilani Valencia Giles” (her middle name is my mother-in-law’s name).
I said “That’s a pretty name! I wonder what Leilani means”.
Come to find out it means “Heavenly flowers l” and “Royal child”, which I felt was so appropriate for our family. “Valencia” means strength. She’s a gift from God! ?
