My husbands name is James but goes by Jimmy. He really wanted a Jimmy Jr. but I wanted something more original.. so we comprised with Jameson and call him Jamo for short. Perfect name for our Irish baby.

Our son, Charles, was born on his great-grandfather’s birthday, so it made sense to name him for his great-grandad. However, I made it known he would never be a “Chuck,” a “Charlie,” or “Chick.” But what name would be chosen for a middle name? It was easy for me. Since my husband said no to my naming our son James, it made sense to use it as a middle name. Except, the name Jameson sounded best with a one-syllable first name. So, the name Charles Jameson was given. We really like the name and, thankfully, or son does too.

My husband and I could not agree on a name at all. So he went through the list of names I came up with and started sticking names together that he liked. He came across Jameson and Bentley put them as a first and middle name. Once he said it out loud to me, we knew that it would be our son’s name. Jameson Bentley just sounds like a name that is distinguished, demands attention, and means business. So Jameson Bentley it is!

I’ve always loved the nickname Jamie for a boy and I always thought that ‘James’ was the only name I could use that nickname for but there were already several ‘James’s’ in our family line and I wanted something a little more unique. When my husband suggested Jameson I was a little unsure, but the more I heard and said it the more I liked it. I also like names with more syllables, so Jameson was a great choice for us 🙂 we also call our new baby Jamie ^.^
His first and middle names are Jameson Kaladin.

James is Daddy’s middle name as well as Paternal Grandpa’s first name, great uncles first name, etc. but we had to throw our own twist on it! We Love the longer syllable names!

I chose the name Jameson because my late fathers name is Jason, and my step dad who raised me, his name is James. So I always loved the name Jameson and I think it’s such a strong name for when he grows up. It was perfect for my son.
