  1. I wanted a Catholic name and in Spanish. I search for saints around my daughter’s due date and picked the ones I liked. My husband and I held a tournament where he put 8 names and I put 8 names, and this was our favorite out of all of them. It took us approx 8 months to decide lol

  2. My husband is Lebanese and we were looking into Arabic-inspired names. We have always loved the name Amal and his grandmother’s name was Lamia. From the moment we discovered the name Amalia, it just felt perfect. Our little girl was quite hard-working and industrious in the womb (a.k.a. such strong ninja jabs & kicks), and now that we just met her, we can’t imagine her being anyone other than our little Amalia. 🙂

  3. It is my sister’s name. She was named after a good friend. The name is Mexican. I think it’s a pretty name. We call her Molly. We wanted to stay with family names.

  4. We wanted to pick a name that would sound beautiful in both our home language Afrikaans and in English. My husband and I both loved the name when we searched for names.

  5. My best friend actually named my daughter!!!!!

  6. I chose Amalia because that is my middle name since she is my last child and is the only girl i named her after me.
I love everything about her name she is me basically Amalia (my middle name) Rose (my favorite flower).
She is the best most beautiful little girl. Her personality will brighten up your day even if you’re in the shittiest mood she is just everything i ever wished for and more. My Rainbow baby <3

  7. Actually a friend of mines gave me my baby’s name and I really fell in love with the name so i went ahead and named her AMALIA ROSE PUERTO!!!!

I have no kinds of dislikes about her name

    • If you want me to I will get it done
