  1. It was a sweet and approachable name for a young man. Its androgynous so it wasnt screaming masculinity (i do not like masculine names, i think they have too much nasty history). And we love calling him mo or momo!

  2. Morgan is a strong name, easy to pronounce and spell, and not commonly used. It means ‘circling the sea’ or ‘sea song’, so speaks of depth, travel and finding your own flow.

  4. We chose the name Morgan because it was a neutral name and planned it for baby whether boy or girl. It most recent times, Morgan has become a more feminine name but actually makes for an extremely masculine name. I will say because of its neutrality, our son gets confused for a girl when registering for different events etc.

  7. It was my great-grandfather’s name (so hubby had to consider it lol); the meaning is sea warrior, and we went through Hurricane Michael when I was 6 1/2 weeks pregnant; and it isn’t a super common name – especially for boys. Took some negotiating, but we are both super happy with it now!

  8. My husband was watching a movie with Morgan Freeman in it, and he kind of liked it so he poised it yup me. The next morning I still liked it so we went with it.

    • Same here it was hard for me to pick a boys name and then I heard Morgan Freeman voice and that was that. My mom loved it also.
