    1. Many great Swedish explorers and musicians carry the name.
    2. Originally an Etruscan name – old civilization from the Tuscany region (family history)
    3. Swedish lineage and great great great grandfather was named Lars
    4. We wanted a boys name that started with “L” since mommy is Leslie
    5. Unique and not common as an American name

We chose the name Lars because my husband and I both have Scandinavian heritage and our last name is very common and I wanted his first name to be a little unique but not a crazy off the wall name. I think the name fits him perfectly. He’s a big baby, 9 lbs 15 oz at birth, so it’s a strong name for a strong baby.

  3. we chose Lars because its easy to pronounce on both sides of our family and its a really cool name. We also were trying to make fun of it like school kids would and couldn’t come up with much. Its a traditional name yet unique.
