  3. It’s so cute, but also a good name for when he becomes a man. Gilbert is a name from the Anne of Green Gables books, which are a much-loved series of mine. We also like the nickname possibilities: Gil, as he’s called by Anne; and Bert. My two older daughters love Mary Poppins, so they are partial to Bert, as is Grandpa.
