  1. Nickname is Adri. Adriana is a family name, named after a strong and independent great aunt. It is also an homage to all of the matriarchs in my lineage: Adele (grandmother), Aurelia (grandmother), Amelia (great grandmother who was also a midwife!), Agnes (great aunt) and then named after my husband Adam Lee (she is Adriana Leigha) and will have his initials as well, stepdaughter is Alexis…I’m surrounded by A’s! Her middle name is a play on Lee, which not only is my husband’s middle name, but the name of his father whom I never met whose presence I feel, the middle name of my mother-in-law, and the middle name of my stepson!

    I love the name Adri because it is also unique. I then realized after I named her that Adri is the combination of the first 2 letters of my husband’s name, Adam, and the last two letters of my name, Lori. We are also both doctors and Dr is in the middle! I laughed when I realized all of this after I already chose the name!
